Liver transplant program reactivation plans underway
Dear UF&Shands faculty, residents, staff and students:
We are proud of the excellent reputation our transplant teams have earned and their rich history of medical firsts and milestones in patient care and service.
We are pleased to announce plans to reactivate our adult and pediatric liver transplant programs at Shands any day now. This positive news comes following the appointment of Jeffrey Fair, M.D., the UF College of Medicine department of surgery chief of abdominal transplantation, who joined us last month to lead our outstanding transplant team.
